Liverpool goalkeeper Danny Ward is reportedly in talks over a deal to join Leicester this summer.
Neil Jones of Goal reports that the Welshman has emerged as a transfer target for the Foxes with Roma looking to sign Kasper Schmeichel.
In what Jones describes as a ‘goalkeeper-merry-go-round’, Roma are looking to replace Anfield-bound Alisson with Schmeichel.
Alisson’s arrival casts further doubts over the amount playing time Ward would get at Anfield after failing to break into the squad last season.
Schmeichel has emerged as a target for both Roma and Chelsea, with both sides looking for new goalkeepers this summer.
Ward had been heavily linked with moves away from Anfield this summer and drew links to Norwich, who were said to be considering a loan swoop for the player.
The young goalkeeper had been expected to feature for Liverpool against Blackburn tonight, but he is now being ruled out of the clash.
The Welshman now looks set to get the opportunity to fight for regular first-team football in the Premier League at the King Power.
