Liverpool are in the market for another creative attacker and central midfielder this summer and they’ve been heavily linked with moves for RB Leipzig duo Emil Forsberg and Naby Keita.
The pair played starring roles for Leipzig last season as they stunned the Bundesliga to finish runners-up to Bayern Munich and secure a place in next season’s Champions League in the process.
Jurgen Klopp was interested in bringing both to Anfield this summer, but Leipzig chief Oliver Mintzlaff has claimed that neither will be leaving the club in an interview with Bild (h/t the Metro):
It would be negligent to sell one of our key players now, Emil and Naby are extremely talented and developable players, we are glad that we are able to keep up with their development as a club.
And now we can prove ourselves in the Champions League in the coming season.
Liverpool will now need to assess other targets and one player they’re looking at is Real Madrid midfielder Marco Asensio, and you can bet on him to complete a move to Anfield at www.online-betting.org/.
The Spain international is currently away with their U21s at the European Championships but is eager to play more regular first-team football and will consider leaving Madrid in order to do so.
