Firmino is thought to have a virus, which has caused him to miss training and put his involvement against Bayern into doubt.

The Brazilian international has scored twice in the Champions League this season, including the winning goal against PSG in the group stage at Anfield.

He has nine goals and four assists in the Premier League, after he netted 15 times and assisted seven in the league last season.

Liverpool are also set to be without Dejan Lovren, who also missed training, and Virgil Van Dijk, who is suspended.
