Klopp promised all the money if Liverpool sell Coutinho

The Liverpool board have promised Jurgen Klopp every penny from the potential sale of Philippe Coutinho, should the Brazilian leave the club in January.

The Mirror reports that the Reds manager will be able to reinvest the money into the current squad if Barcelona do come back in for the player.

The Catalan side were heavily linked with a move for Coutinho throughout the summer and are believed to be preparing another bid in time for the January transfer window.

Reports have suggested that Barcelona are willing to pay somewhere in the region of £130 million for the Brazilian, which would give Klopp plenty of money to improve his squad.

Should Coutinho move on in January it is believed that Liverpool will reignite their own interest in Southampton defender Virgil van Dijk in an attempt to solve their defensive issues.

Liverpool were without Coutinho for the 3-0 win over Huddersfield on Saturday, but he could return for the midweek meeting against Maribor.
