Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has revealed that he will hold special talks with Virgil van Dijk ahead of his return to Southampton this weekend, the Mirror reports.
Yes, for sure I’ll talk to Virgil about going back there. It won’t be a normal game. It won’t be a friendly game, they fight for everything, we fight for everything.
Van Dijk joined the Reds from Southampton at the start of January for a fee worth around £70m. It’s likely that he will be met with a frosty reception from the Saints faithful, as he returns to St Mary’s Stadium for the first time since the move.
It is obviously quite special, it was not on purpose. It just happened. I don’t know exactly but it probably will not be the most friendly. We are all human beings. It is nice you think he can handle it. We are all influenced by circumstances.

The 26-year-old enjoyed two-and-a-half seasons on the south coast before securing his dream move to Anfield, and Klopp is set to ensure that he has mentally prepared his star man for the challenge that awaits him.
It is a possibility the reaction is not that positive. That is how fans are they will want to try and do everything they can to help their team and disturb us. So they will whistle.
Van Dijk has been playing well for Liverpool since his move but has still been caught up in controversy, with the team failing to win whilst he has featured.
Klopp and Van Dijk will hope that this spell can end on Sunday as they look to clinch an important three points away at Southampton, in what is sure to be a hostile atmosphere.
