Speaking after the game, Klopp could not hide his frustration.

I’m not allowed to go in the [referees’] room for half an hour after the game. The first thing after the whistle he [the referee] comes to me and says he made a mistake, clear offside, unbelievable.

Harry Kane was brought down inside the box in the second half, despite the striker appearing to be offside.

A deflection from defender Dejan Lovren caused some confusion between the officials and after confronting his linesman, Moss awarded a penalty.

Kane missed his first spot-kick but was then handed another opportunity to get Spurs back into the game.

Virgil van Dijk brought down Erik Lamela in the final minutes of the game, gifting Kane the chance to equalise.

Many fans have called for Lamela to be punished for diving, despite the Dutch defender making contact with the Spurs attacker as he attempted to clear the ball.

Kane took his chance and put Spurs back on level terms with one of the last kicks of the game.
