Adam Lallana has provided an update on how his recovery from a thigh injury is going.
The England international is yet to make a competitive appearance for the Reds so far this season, but looked bright during the opening stages of pre-season.
Speaking to Liverpool’s official club website, Lallana insisted that his rehab has been going as well as it possibly can, and that he is raring to go when he gets back into the mix.
I’m getting on well – slowly but surely in the background. I don’t like staying away from it, I quite like being in the mix and involved in the games, especially the home games. I’ll be at the City game at the weekend – I’m looking forward to that.

The Reds have been in impressive early season form. They have picked up seven points out of a possible nine in their opening three games, having secured two wins against Crystal Palace and Arsenal along with an opening day draw away at Watford.
I’m well into the way on my rehab now and it’s going as well as it can. I’m obviously looking forward to being back.
Lallana is sure to be keen on making an impression this season given that the 2018 World Cup is at the end of the season. He’ll be looking to impress Gareth Southgate as England close in on qualification.
