Liverpool alerted by Keita Balde’s availability

Premier League duo Liverpool and Arsenal are watching developments involving AS Monaco’s Keita Balde closely.

The Mirror reports that the player has become available, despite only joining the Ligue 1 side in the summer.

Napoli are the front-runners to sign the winger and have been heavily linked with a move for the player, according to reports in Italy.

Keita has proved to be a versatile addition to the Monaco front line, featuring on the left, right and through the middle.

New sporting director Michael Emenalo has been reportedly been given the green light to sell the player for profit.

In 16 appearances in Ligue 1 this season, Keita has netted six times and registered three assists, following his £30 million move from Lazio in the summer.

Fellow Premier League side West Ham were heavily linked with the player prior to his move to Monaco.

With just a few days left in the January transfer window, a summer move looks like the most realistic option for both clubs.
