Liverpool FC have confirmed the signing of winger Mohamed Salah from AS Roma.
The Egyptian wide man signs after enjoying an outstanding campaign with Roma in Serie A, where his performances helped them to achieve a commendable second place finish.
The 24-year-old bagged 15 goals and had 18 assists for the Italian side and Liverpool will be hoping that he can replicate that production at Anfield.
Liverpool have tied up the deal for a reported fee of €39m. Salah has signed a five-year contract worth a suggested £90,000-per week.
The number 11 shirt awaits the winger, as it seems Roberto Firmino will drop down to be the club’s latest number nine.
Salah has previously played in the Premier League during a brief spell at Chelsea, but he was perhaps unfairly starved of first team opportunities.
Jurgen Klopp has been looking to find a player of a similar ilk to Sadio Mane, who made a very impressive impact in his first season at Anfield, and it seems Salah is his chosen man.
Salah will join up with the squad ahead of pre-season in July.
