Jurgen Klopp wants to add some fresh faces to his attacking contingent this summer with the likes of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Mohamed Solah and Gelson Martins all being linked.
However, French source Telefoot, as quoted by the Mirror are reporting that Liverpool have now joined Tottenham and Arsenal in the race to sign impressive Monaco midfielder Thomas Lemar.
Lemar’s bright performances for Monaco this season helped fire them to the Ligue 1 title and enjoy a strong run in the Champions League.
Primarily a left-sided attacking midfielder, Lemar roams across that forward line looking to get involved in the play.
Coming through the academy at Caen, Lemar joined Monaco two years ago for just £3.4m and scored 14 goals and provided 17 assists in 55 appearances across all competitions last season.
The France international is eager to complete a lucrative summer move to the Premier League and the Reds have entered the race to sign him just as Tottenham appeared to be closing in on his signature, while Arsenal have been long-time admirers of him.
