Liverpool have identified former Chelsea winger Mohamed Salah as a transfer target after cooling their interest in Julian Brandt.
Goal reports that the Reds will turn their attention to the Roma winger with Brandt believing a move to Liverpool may harm his chances of making the Germany squad for the 2018 World Cup, with game time not guaranteed at Anfield.
Brandt has long been linked with a move to Anfield, with Jurgen Klopp thought to be a huge fan of the player, while he has also been touted as a transfer target for Bayern Munich this summer as well.
Salah came very close to joining Liverpool in 2014 but decided to join Chelsea at the last minute after discussing the deal with Jose Mourinho.
Liverpool have kept their eye on the player since and remain admirers of the Egyptian. He joined AS Roma permanently in the summer and is under contract with the Serie A club until 2019.
