Liverpool eyeing Rostov striker Azmoun

According to a recent report from The Guardian, Liverpool are lining up a surprise move for FC Rostov striker Sardar Azmoun.

The young forward has been in good form for the Russian side so far this season and has particularly impressed when he has been called upon in the Champions League.

Azmoun hasn’t been with Rostov for too long, after his fairly surprising move from fellow Russian League side Rubin Kazan. It was a much talked about deal and took place in February 2015, initially as a loan deal.

However, he’s been turning in some fine displays and at just 21 years old, it’s no surprise to see clubs as big as Liverpool looking to make their move early for the starlet.

If Liverpool are to pursue their interest in Azmoun though, they will have to fend off some competition for his signature.

The report states that the Reds aren’t the only Premier League club chasing the Iranian forward, with Everton, Manchester City and Stoke all keeping a keen eye on him.
