Liverpool fans criticise Alexander-Arnold after performance at Newcastle

A number of Liverpool supporters are unhappy with Trent Alexander-Arnold, following a poor performance away to Newcastle United.

The Reds were insipid at St James’ Park on Wednesday night, failing to break down their opponents.

Good chances came and went, with Mohamed Salah particularly culpable of being wasteful, and Jurgen Klopp’s champions are now only three points clear of Manchester United at the top of the Premier League, having played one game more.

Numerous Liverpool players were out of sorts against the Magpies, whether it be Jordan Henderson in midfield or the entire attack, but someone who was arguably as bad as anyone was Alexander-Arnold.

The right-back looked out of sorts throughout, barring one sensational pass in the first half.

He has struggled to hit top form at any point this season, with just two assists and no goals to his name in 14 league appearances.

These Liverpool fans took to Twitter to bemoan Alexander-Arnold’s display on Wednesday.
