Liverpool have made inquires to the agent of Frankfurt star Luka Jovic as they weigh up a summer move for the striker.
According to Bild, via Sky Sports, Liverpool have spoken to his agent, as they face stiff competition for his signature.
The report claims that Spanish giants Real Madrid and Barcelona are battling it out to sign Jovic.
Barcelona are said to be the favourites at this moment in time, but Real Madrid have placed an offer in the region of £39m for the Serbian international.

Jovic is currently on loan to Frankfurt from Portuguese side Benfica, and has scored 14 goals in the Bundesliga this season – making him the top scorer in the division.
The 21-year-old has netted more league goals than the likes of Robert Lewandowski and Marco Reus, which has attracted interest from Liverpool, Real Madrid and Barcelona.
Jovic has been capped three times by Serbia at international level, but is yet to score his first goal for his country.
