Liverpool are reportedly taking an interest in Real Madrid defender Danilo.
According to a report from Italian news outlet Calciomercato, the Reds are joined by Serie A giants Juventus in their pursuit of the Real defender, who has found first-team chances hard to come by in La Liga this season.
The 25-year-old has made just 15 appearances in all competitions so far this campaign and it looks as though he is perceived only as a backup at the Bernabeu, leading to scrutiny over his future at the club.
Dani Carvajal is Real’s first choice right-back and it’s clear to see that manager Zinedine Zidane is in favour of playing him, but that doesn’t mean that he values Danilo any less. Calciomercato state in their report that the Spanish heavyweights would only welcome offers of €25 million and upwards.
Danilo is primarily a right-back but is also capable of playing on the left hand side of defence, which is something of a weak position for the Reds.
