Liverpool are reportedly in the mix of Premier League clubs tracking promising Vancouver Whitecaps and Canada Under-20 international youngster Alphonso Davies.
An exclusive report from American news outlet Metro US suggests that Davies is being scouted by the Reds, along with their fellow top flight competitors.
The youngster has started off the MLS season in very good form, showing signs of promise in his Vancouver’s stalemate with Philadelphia Union on Monday in the opening game of the campaign.
At just 16-years of age, Davies is attracting interest from England’s elite teams in the Premier League and that surely speaks volumes regarding his ability and potential. He’ll now hope to kick on and impress throughout the course of the MLS season, playing out wide for Vancouver.
If the Reds are serious in pursuing their interest in Davies and making a genuine attempt to sign him though, they must act fast. Manchester United and Chelsea are both also claimed to have been scouting him.
