Liverpool are poised to open talks with Divock Origi over a new contract to extend his stay at the club.
This comes 24 hours after he scored twice against Barcelona to book Liverpool’s place in the Champions League final for next month, where they will face fellow Premier League side Tottenham.
Daily Mail journalist Dominic King claims that Jurgen Klopp has been impressed with Origi and is hoping to tie him down to a new deal.

He claims that Origi had the chance to leave Liverpool in the last transfer window, but opted to stay. The Belgian has certainly made a huge impact with his fleeting appearances since.
Origi has scored 27 goals in 96 appearances for Liverpool since joining the club from French side Lille in 2015.
