Liverpool reject Torino’s bid for Marko Grujic

Liverpool have rejected Torino’s approach for Marko Grujic.

The Italians wanted to take the midfielder on loan for the season, with an option to buy him for €10m at the end of the season, but the Reds have rejected that offer.

The Serbian international spent the second part of last season on loan at Cardiff City, but he apparently rejected the chance to rejoin Neil Warnock’s side for the full 2018/19 campaign.

Torino wanted to take the 22-year-old for the entire campaign before having the chance to sign him on a permanent deal for €10m, but Liverpool will not allow that to happen.

It still remains likely that the midfielder will be loaned out to a foreign club before the end of August but Liverpool will only want any sell-on clause to reflect what they believe he is worth, which is more than the €10m which Torino were prepared to offer.
