Liverpool are believed to be relaxed over the prospects of Emre Can signing a new deal at the club, as reported by the Liverpool Echo.
As of next month, the German will be entering the final 12 months of his current deal and is yet to put pen to paper.
The Reds remained relaxed, despite Can reportedly demanding £100,000 per week, double his current wage at Anfield.
The player is also keen for talks with boss Jurgen Klopp about where he fits into the German’s plans in the future, especially with Liverpool being linked with the likes of Naby Keita this summer.
With Can entering the last year of his contract, rumours have started to circulate about a possible move to Juventus, who have long been linked with a move for the German.
The club hope to have a solution concluded before the midfielder jets off to Russia with the German national side for the Confederations Cup later this month.
