Liverpool are reportedly ready to reignite their interest in Athletic Bilbao attacker Inaki Williams.
According to a report from Italian news outlet TMW, as cited today by talkSPORT, the Reds are ready to go head to head with German side Borussia Dortmund, with Williams high in demand this summer.
The forward is one of Spain’s brightest talents and Liverpool have previously expressed their admiration in the tricky Bilbao youngster.
It’s stated that Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp cast a keen eye over Williams during his time as Dortmund manager, and it looks as though his current and former side are willing to do battle over the striker.
The Reds will have gotten a closer look at Williams in recent times, too. The Premier League side came out on top against Bilbao in a 3-1 friendly win. Incidentally, the Spain Under-21 international scored the consolation for the La Liga outfit.
Liverpool appear to have unfinished business this summer, and Williams could very well be a player in their sights.
