Liverpool have reportedly made Burnley defender Michael Keane their top defensive target this summer.
According to an exclusive report from the Mirror, the Reds have been impressed with Keane for the Clarets this season and are preparing a move for him when the summer transfer window opens.
Keane has been Burnley’s standout player upon their return to the Premier League, showing impressive quality on the ball and looking impressive at the back.
His performances have led to him being awarded his first ever senior England call-up, which was then followed by his first international cap.
Keane has agreed personal terms in principle with Liverpool, as stated by the Mirror’s report, and Burnley are resigned to losing their key man this summer.
The contract on offer is reportedly one that will go up to the summer of 2021, but Keane has reserved his judgement on the switch as he awaits Liverpool’s fate in the race for the top four.
