The agent of Liverpool target Marco Asensio has revealed that Real Madrid rejected an offer as high as €180m for his services in the last year.
El Confidencial report that Liverpool, Juventus and Bayern Munich are all keen on the Spaniard, who has not enjoyed his best form this season.
The talented midfielder has only managed one goal and four assists in 27 La Liga appearances this season, after picking up six goals and six assists in the competition last year.
Asensio’s agent, Horacio Gaggioli, said this when speaking to El Confidencial:
During the past year there were offers of between €150m and €180m, but Madrid did not want to listen to them.
It is not stated as to which club offered those specific fees, but it is claimed that Liverpool have shown the most interest in signing Asensio as they look to bolster their squad ahead of next season.
