Liverpool reportedly told Barcelona to stop harassing Philippe Coutinho over the summer.
A German newspaper Der Spiegel has leaked information from emails between both clubs, as the Spanish side attempted to lure the Brazilian to Spain.
Emails between sporting director Michael Edwards and Òscar Grau, a board member at Barcelona revealed Liverpool’s tough stance on a potential deal.
Unfortunately, Philippe can not be sold at any price and, as you know, he has recently extended his contract with us. I would kindly ask you to refrain from showing Philippe both privately and publicly, no sum will lead us to reverse our decision.

Barcelona had bids for the player rejected as they went in search of a replacement for Neymar and the leaks suggest the club had a draft contract drawn up ready for the Brazilian.
Coutinho, despite being interested in a move to Spain, remained at Liverpool with the Reds determined that they would not sell at any price.
The Brazilian had been suffering from a back injury in the early stages of the season but will be hoping to start on Saturday night against Leicester at the King Power.
Coutinho started on Tuesday night against the Foxes but was a half-time substitution as Jurgen Klopp looks to ease him back into the first-team squad.
