Liverpool are keeping tabs on the progress of the exciting young Lyon forward Maxwel Cornet.
As reported by Italian outlet, Calcio Mercato, the 20-year-old is on the Red’s radar ahead of a potential summer move.
Jurgen Klopp has sent scouts to France to keep an eye on the player this season. Already this campaign, he has proved his versatility, featuring as a striker, as well as out wide on both the left and right wing.
The striker was born in the Ivory Coast but is also eligible to feature for France. He has already been capped by France’s U21s side. He came through the youth ranks at fellow Ligue 1 side, FC Metz, but moved to Lyon in January 2015.
He’s already made over 20 appearances for the French side this season in Ligue 1, scoring twice along the way. He’s also featured in Europe, so would arrive at Anfield with some pedigree despite his tender age.
