Liverpool are one of three Premier League clubs to have sent representatives out to France to watch over Saint-Etienne goalkeeper Stephane Ruffier in recent weeks.
According to a report this morning from French news outlet GFFN, The Reds have been joined by fellow top flight rivals Everton and West Ham in their pursuit of the experienced shot-stopper.
Ruffier has been a consistently impressive figure in Ligue 1 for Saint-Etienne and it comes as no surprise to see some interest building from elsewhere in Europe.
The 30-year-old has made appearances for France at an international level and has been a mainstay in Saint-Etienne’s starting line-up for some years now.
Jurgen Klopp could be looking to make a move for a goalkeeper in the summer transfer window when it comes around, with both Simon Mignolet and new signing Loris Karius failing to really make their mark on the league and nail down a place this season.
