Liverpool’s pursuit of RB Leipzig midfielder Naby Keita has been handed a huge boost after it was revealed the player shares the same agent as Sadio Mane.
A report from the Liverpool Echo suggests Jurgen Klopp will be hopeful of completing a deal for the midfielder who has impressed so many during Leipzig’s debut season in the Bundesliga, which has seen them qualify for next season’s Champions League.
The Reds boss is thought to be keen to strengthen his midfield ahead of the new Premier League season.
Keita has drawn comparisons to N’Golo Kante for his energetic and hard working performances in the Bundesliga, but the Guinea midfielder offers much more of an attacking threat.
The 22-year-old has scored eight league goals this season, as well as registering seven assists in the Bundesliga.
Like fellow Liverpool target, Julian Brandt, Keita is another player in the Bundesliga under serious consideration from Bayern Munich, who will be looking to strengthen again this summer.
