Marko Grujic wanted by Huddersfield on loan

Marko Grujic has failed to break into the Liverpool side following his £6m move from Red Star in January 2016 but the young central midfielder could be set for a loan move to another Premier League outfit.

ESPNFC sources understand that Huddersfield are looking to take the Serbian midfielder on loan for the rest of the 2017/18 season to help bolster their squad.

Jurgen Klopp has handed the 21-year-old just six appearances so far this season and even despite the departure of Philippe Coutinho to Barcelona, the midfielder is still some way off staking a claim for a starting role.

Huddersfield boss David Wagner has a close relationship with Klopp which is a big factor in any decision made over Grujic’s next step as, presumably, Wagner would be willing to make certain guarantees over his playing time.

Kasey Palmer was recalled by Chelsea at the beginning of the month, meaning the Terriers are light in midfield and clearly Grujic is a player they are targeting.
