Former German international and now pundit Christoph Metzelder has admitted that he regards Jurgen Klopp as the perfect fit for Bayern Munich.
Speaking to Sky Sports out in Germany, Metzelder discussed the current vacancy at the Allianz Arena and claimed that Klopp is now “ready” to take on such a prestigious job.
From my point of view, Jurgen Klopp would be ready. He is a top man-manager and could make the complex power relationship work wonderfully.
(Julian) Nagelsmann is an outstanding trainer, but Bayern Munich is of course a different size (club to Hoffenheim).
Bayern are currently without a first-team manager as they relieved Carlo Ancelotti of his duties at the helm of the club last week. Several managers have been linked with the post, and Klopp has been one of them.
The Reds boss has experienced of managing in his homeland of Germany, and was particularly impressive at Borussia Dortmund, who are posing a big threat to Bayern’s pursuit of retaining the Bundesliga title.
Although a move away to Bayern is unlikely for Klopp at this stage, he’s not short of admirers, and it looks as though the consensus in Germany is that he’d be the ideal candidate should he be a plausible target.
