AC Milan will provide stiff competition to Liverpool in the hunt to sign French midfielder Adrien Rabiot from Paris Saint-Germain.
According to Il Corriere dello Sport, as cited on Calciomercato, Milan’s new sporting director Leonardo has identified the player as a key transfer target for the Serie A side.
Rabiot looks set to leave the French champions and he will be free to talk to clubs about a pre-contract deal in January.

Liverpool have been heavily linked with a move for the player, with recent reports claiming that contact has been made to discuss a move to Anfield.
The Reds will be hopeful that by acting quickly they can steal the march in the race to sign him.
Following a takeover, Milan are looking to make an impact in the market with a big signing.
Premier League rivals Tottenham and Arsenal have been linked with Rabiot in the past, but Milan and Liverpool appear to be leading the way.
