Mohamed Salah available for Liverpool’s clash with Atalanta

Mohamed Salah is available for Liverpool’s Champions League clash with Atalanta, Jurgen Klopp has confirmed.

The Reds host the Serie A side on Wednesday night, looking to secure qualification to the knockout stages.

They have won all three of their Group D matches to date, coping superbly after suffering endless injuries.

Speaking to the press on Tuesday, Klopp said Salah is fit for the game, having recovered from the virus affecting the world.

This is unquestionably a major boost for Liverpool, with Salah one of the star men of the Klopp era.

The Reds got by without him in Sunday’s 3-0 win over Leicester City, but there is no denying his importance to this team.

Salah could even come in for one of Diogo Jota, Sadio Mane or Roberto Firmino against Atalanta, allowing Klopp to rotate ahead of Saturday’s trip to Brighton in the Premier League.

The Liverpool manager could also play a 4-2-3-1 formation, however, allowing the Reds to field all four of their attacking superstars.

While a slightly weakened team could potentially take to the pitch, Klopp knows that a win will seal a place in the last-16 of the Champions League, affording him the chance to rest lots of key men in the final two matches.
