Newcastle are hoping to strike a deal to sign Liverpool forward Harry Wilson this summer.
According to Football Insider, Newcastle are looking to pip fellow Premier League side Aston Villa in the race to land Wilson in the coming weeks.
The report claims that both clubs are interested in Wilson and are open to either a loan or permanent deal for the Welsh international.

Wilson spent last season on loan to Derby County in the Championship, scoring 18 goals in all competitions for the Rams.
He was nominated for the EFL Young Player of the Year award, alongside Luton’s James Justin and Norwich’s Max Aarons. However, he missed out to the Canaries fullback.
The forward has been playing for Liverpool during their tour of the USA, but is said to want regular football next season and the club are due to make a decision on his future in the coming days.
