The club have revealed that Origi has put pen to paper on an extended deal this week, silencing any speculation regarding his future.
Origi’s previous contract was due to expire at the end of the season, with Liverpool clearly keen to keep the Belgian international at the club for the 2019/20 campaign.
The forward played a vital part in Liverpool’s Champions League success last term, scoring twice in the semi-final against Barcelona and in the final against Tottenham in Madrid.
Liverpool are yet to make a senior signing in the current transfer window, but tying down existing members of their squad appears to be top of their list this summer.
The Reds finished second in the Premier League last season and will be hoping to go one better next year.
