Liverpool have potentially been handed a boost in their pursuit of Isco after he was left out of Real Madrid’s squad to face Barcelona.
Real face Barcelona in the semi-final of the Copa Del Ray on Wednesday night, but Isco has not been named in their squad for the match – meaning he will not even be on the bench.

According to Calcio Mercato, both Liverpool and Juventus are interested in signing Isco in the summer, with the Spaniard seemingly on his way out of Madrid.
Isco has a release clause of €700m, but Real could be tempted into selling him for a cut-price fee if he is not in the manager’s plans next season.
The Spanish international has made 15 appearances in La Liga this season, managing one goal and two assists.
The 26-year-old has made over 250 appearances for Real Madrid since joining the club from Malaga in 2013, scoring 45 goals.
