Real Madrid told to pay £142m for Salah

Real Madrid have been told that they will need to a pay a huge £142 million to stand any chance of signing Mohamed Salah from Liverpool.

El Confidencial reports that the Spanish giants have been informed that the Reds are not interested in selling the player after only one season at Anfield.

The La Liga side have been told that a deal would not be entertained unless the £142 million that the Reds received for Philippe Coutinho from Barcelona is at least matched.

Coutinho became the third most expensive player in the world when he joined Barcelona in the January transfer window.

Salah has been named on a transfer shortlist in Madrid as they look to replace the ageing Karim Benzema this summer.

The likes of Eden Hazard and Mauro Icardi have also been linked with a big-money move to Spain.

Salah’s eye-catching season has not gone unnoticed, he has scored 24 times in the Premier League and 31 goals in all competitions.
