Liverpool attacker Sadio Mane has been named on the shortlist for the Ballon d’Or 2017 award.

The Reds star has been in sublime form this season and was a key player for Liverpool last season. Since joining the club from Southampton in 2016, Mane has gone on to play a big role in Liverpool’s return to the Champions League fold.
Mane has enjoyed a blistering start to the season and has established himself as a talismanic figure for Jurgen Klopp’s side.
The Senegal international joins the world’s most talented players on the shortlist, as the world’s most impressive player in the calendar year of 2017 is chosen.
Mane will now hope to continue his excellent form in the opening stages of the season, and will hope to further stake his claim for the Ballon d’Or.
