Liverpool were dealt a major blow coming out of the international break when it was confirmed that Sadio Mane suffered a hamstring injury.
The pacey winger was initially reported to be sidelined for up to six weeks and was forced to watch Liverpool’s 0-0 draw with Manchester United and their 7-0 drubbing of Maribor from the sidelines, but he could be returning sooner than expected.
That is the word from Senegal head coach Aliou Cisse who has included the former Southampton star in his squad for their World Cup qualifiers next month.

Mane suffered the injury during Senegal’s 2-0 win over Cape Verde earlier this month by Cisse believes that the attacker could return to first-team training as soon as next week.
Sadio Mane has resumed individual training and will probably resume full training next week.
In Slovenia last night, Liverpool welcomed James Milner back into midfield and pushed Philippe Coutinho into a more advanced role alongside Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah.
Mane’s prolonged absence will likely see Jurgen Klopp stick with the same attacking three.
