Liverpool have been given a potential boost ahead of their Champions League clash with Porto after Alex Telles picked up an injury on Saturday.
The Porto left-back was taken off injured after he appeared to hurt his hip in the process of taking a penalty, as per The Liverpool Echo.
He fell down holding his hip after striking the ball from the spot and could now be set to miss Porto’s trip to face Liverpool at Anfield next month.
Telles has been in impressive form this season and scored an important spot-kick against Roma in the last round of the Champions League to clinch their tie against Liverpool.
Porto and Liverpool face each other in the first leg of the tie on Tuesday 9th April, with Liverpool at home.
The 26-year-old, Telles, has been capped once by Brazil at international level and has been a consistent figure in the Porto defence this season.
