Liverpool are set to reward Trent Alexander-Arnold’s progression from a youth player into a first-team regular by giving him a new contract.
According to reports, Liverpool are going to give the 19-year-old a pay rise of 50%, which will see his salary increase from £40,000-a-week to £60,000-a-week.
The right-back’s current contract expires in 2021, so there is no rush to get a new deal signed, but the Reds are happy to give wage increases to star players if they earn them, regardless of how many years they have remained on their existing years.

Alexander-Arnold has established himself as Liverpool’s first-choice right-back and is now a full England international and the Reds seem happy to reward him for his continued improvements.
Jordan Henderson recently signed a new contract with the Reds, whilst Joe Gomez is reportedly close to agreeing a new deal too as Jurgen Klopp looks to keep the core of his squad together.
