Liverpool have been handed a boost ahead of Saturday’s trip to London to face Chelsea as right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold has been declared fit to play.
The teenager did not play on Wednesday night as Chelsea knocked Liverpool out of the Carabao Cup, but he has recovered from his illness and has played a full part in training.
Speaking ahead of the game, Jurgen Klopp said:
Trent trained yesterday completely normal. It was not a knock, Trent was a bit ill, but yesterday that looked pretty good.

Alexander-Arnold has established himself as Liverpool’s first-choice right-back and with doubts over the fitness of Virgil van Dijk, Klopp will be keen to have other members of his first-choice back four available.
Had Alexander-Arnold not recovered in time for the game, then Nathaniel Clyne would have been his most likely replacement, whilst summer signing Fabinho is also an option as he’s played at right-back for Brazil and Monaco in the not too distant past.
