Virals: Trent Alexander-Arnold issues social media rallying cry

Liverpool right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold has issued a rallying cry on social media as the Reds prepare for the final five fixtures of what has been a disappointing season thus far.

Having surrendered their grip on the Premier League title some time ago, Jurgen Klopp’s side now only have a place in the top-four to play for.

Alexander-Arnold – like the majority of his teammates – has fallen below the levels of previous campaigns this term.

However, despite dropping four points in the last two games, the 22-year-old hasn’t given up the fight just yet and took to Twitter during a walk around one of Liverpool’s numerous parks to encourage others to do the same.

The fight begins on Sunday with a trip to arch-rivals Manchester United where Klopp’s side will hope to put to bed a wretched recent record at Old Trafford.

Unfortunately for various reasons, this has been a season to forget for the Reds – especially following such glorious times.

A combination of no fans, injuries and general poor form has meant the whole campaign has been somewhat of a nightmare.

Victory at Old Trafford followed by a top-four finish would at least see a positive ending, before hopefully what is a more enjoyable campaign in 2021/22.
