Andoni Iraola

Liverpool are expected to be attentive in the upcoming transfer windows under Andoni Iraola.

The Reds made four new signings during the summer transfer window and could well add to their squad further in January.

Julian Ward has taken over the reigns as Liverpool’s sporting director from Richard Hughes and will be drawing up a list of players who can add value to the current crop.

Liverpool have been linked with a move for Gilberto Mora, who has made quite the impression in Mexico.

And now, Iraola has remained coy on whether the Reds are actually in talks to sign the gifted attacking midfielder.

Gilberto Mora continues to be linked with Liverpool

After Liverpool’s 4-3 win against Villarreal, the Spaniard was asked directly if Liverpool want to sign Mora.

“Let’s see, not only because of what he’s doing,” said Iraola via TNT Sports Mexico.

“There are times when you ask me about players, but I can’t talk about players who aren’t ours, right? In the end, there’s respect.

“And there has to be respect between clubs and well, if you’ll allow me, I don’t have my opinion, obviously, but I prefer not to comment, not about players who aren’t from Liverpool.”

Mora is also wanted by some of the biggest clubs on the planet, but judging by Iraola’s response, it appears as if the Reds are actually plotting a move for him, at the very least.
