‘Very much’ – Agent responds directly to Liverpool transfer news

Liverpool have developed a reputation for signing rough diamonds from overseas before their market values soar.

The likes of Ifeanyi Ndukwe, Mor Talla Ndiaye, Samuel Martinez, Lucca Brughman and Djyllan N’Guessen have all been snapped up over the course of the calendar year, while a handful of others are expected to follow.

Earlier this week, reports from Mexico claimed Liverpool had made a massive offer for Gilberto Mora, who is making waves as one of the brightest attacking midfield prospects in the world.

And now, his agent Rafaela Pimenta has made a rather straightforward claim when asked if the young Mexican has agreed a transfer.

Gilberto Mora’s Liverpool move yet to be agreed

“Please understand that I don’t comment on transfer rumors,” said Pimenta via Record.

“I won’t say anything at all about the transfer of any player. Thank you very much for your understanding.”

Maybe reports from Mexico jumped the gun, but Liverpool’s interest is well documented, as the transfer links have been covered by the mainstream media since the start of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

However, considering Mora’s talent, other clubs in the world will surely be in the running for his signature, so the Reds need to ensure they get the deal done soon or run the risk of a hijack.
