Liverpool told to make ‘unstoppable offer’ to sign Serie A midfielder

Every Liverpool fan will admit that it came as a huge surprise this summer when the club decided against signing a midfielder.

The Reds really struggled in the centre of the park last season under Arne Slot and also lost Curtis Jones to Inter Milan in the summer.

A handful of names such as Manu Kone, Lamine Camara and Alex Scott were linked with the club, but Liverpool ultimately opted to stick to their pre-existing options.

Now, however, it appears as if they are keeping tabs on Cher Ndour, who has emerged as a top performer for Fiorentina in Serie A.

Liverpool want to sign Cher Ndour

Crystal Palace tried to sign the midfielder in the summer transfer window, but Fiorentina declared that he would not be sold at any price.

In recent weeks, the midfielder has been in fine form for the Serie A side and the Italy U-21, cementing his status as one of the most exciting midfielders in his country.

La Repubblica (via Sport Witness) confirm that Liverpool are interested, with Juventus also in the running to secure his signature.

However, the report also mentions that Fiorentina will demand an ‘unstoppable offer’ to part with Ndour, which is believed to be above €35m.

If the young midfielder carries on performing in the same vein, he won’t be at Fiorentina for much longer, that’s for sure.
