Liverpool have completed the signing of exciting young goalkeeper Zach Trinder from Wolves.
The signing will go to an independent panel who will determine the compensation to decide on a transfer fee.
Trinder has signed as a 14-year-old and is already representing England U15 this summer,
How much of a talent is Trinder?
Trinder came to the attention of the Liverpool Academy staff when he made his Premier League 2 debut against the Reds at just 14 years old, according to DaveOCKOP.
He is in the England set up, a year above his age grade and represented Wolves on several occasions at under 18 Premier League level.
Liverpool’s current goalkeeping setup
Liverpool have had one of the best and most stable goalkeepers in Europe since Alisson Becker arrived from Roma in 2019. He helped the side go on to win two Premier League titles and a Champions League.
Giorgi Mamardashvili joined the club last year and has been a solid number two with Alisson missing a few spells through injury. The question from the Georgian is whether he can step up to be a permanent number one when the inevitable departure of Alisson takes place in the coming years.
Freddie Woodman is an excellent number three and even got some Premier League minutes this year.
Kornel Miscuir has been the Under 19 goalkeeper in the UEFA Youth League last season has also been part of the under 21 side this year.
