Liverpool are expected to be active in the upcoming transfer window to bolster their squad under Andoni Iraola.
The Reds made four really good signings during the summer transfer window, but it goes without saying that they still have a few gaping holes to fill.
In terms of their right-back options, Conor Bradley has struggled with injuries, while Jeremie Frimpong continues to blow hot and cold.
Ronald Araujo has filled in admirably in that role, but it goes without saying that the Reds could do well with another specialist player in that position.
And if reports from England are to be believed, they are at the front of the queue for Brentford’s Michael Kayode.
Liverpool leading Michael Kayode race
Caught Offside report that Liverpool are ahead of the likes of Newcastle United, Tottenham Hotspur and Juventus, among others, in the race for the Italian defender.
Brentford value him at around €65m, which is a sizeable fee for a right-back.
Kayode is a key player for club and country and is likely to get a big move at some point in the future.
His value at both ends of the pitch has been on display several times in his young Premier League career so far, so he is certainly one of the best players in his position.
Liverpool will sign a right back at some point over the next two transfer windows, and if Kayode carries on in the same vein, he could be the one they turn to.
