Liverpool transfer target spotted on way for Merseyside medical

Liverpool target Ronald Araujo has been spotted on his way to Merseyside to complete his medical before a loan move to Anfield.

The 27-year-old Uruguayan defender has been at Barcelona since 2018 and the loan move could end in a £55m transfer next summer if the loan period goes well.

The news was shared by Gerard Romero linking up with popular Barcelona news source and streamer Jaijantes FC.

Yesterday, Hansi Flick shared his thoughts on Araujo and how he wasn’t able to include him in squads as much as he would have liked.

Araujo will make much needed additions to the dwindling defensive line through injury.

A busy day for Liverpool

Liverpool will play AS Monaco this afternoon in their first preseason friendly on home soil after their US Tour.

The match could see other signings Jeremy Jacquet and Victor Munoz make their debuts for the club and will be the first time that Andoni Iraola will lead Liverpool at Anfield.

If Araujo has his medical in part of this morning, there is a chance that he could be announced shortly after the game this afternoon.

Fans will also eagerly be on the lookout to see if Araujo makes an appearance in the ground for the fixture.
