Nabil Fekir is Liverpool’s number one summer transfer target and the Reds will step up their efforts to sign him after Saturday’s Champions League final.

For a couple of weeks, reports in France have been claiming that the French international is likely to move to Anfield, but there were no stories from Liverpool/British based journalists to back those claims up.

However, the likes of Paul Joyce (The Times) and Chris Bascombe (The Telegraph) are now reporting that talks between the two clubs have taken place and will continue after Saturday’s final.

Fekir is part of the France squad for the World Cup, so time is of the essence in terms of getting a deal done as all parties will want things to be completed before he flies off to Russia.

Liverpool are reportedly very confident of securing a deal for the 24-year-old and will make a concerted effort to get things over the line after the game in Kyiv.
