Cagliari star Nicolo Barella is reportedly a target for Inter Milan ahead of the January transfer window.
Barella has been linked with a whole host of clubs from across Europe in recent months, with Liverpool often touted as a likely destination for the promising Italian midfielder.
Inter Milan are believed to be on the lookout for fresh creativity in the central areas ahead of the January transfer window and according to claims from Corriere dello Sport, as cited by Calciomercato, Barella has emerged as a target.

The Serie A giants are understood to be keen on utilising their strong relations with Cagliari to secure a deal for Barella, who has continued to emerge as one of Italy’s most exciting young players.
Liverpool may be well-stocked with central midfield options but the Reds have been perennially linked with a swoop for Barella, whose stock continues to rise.
If potential suitors such as Liverpool and Inter are to make respective moves for the 21-year-old, however, they will be forced to splash the cash.
According to the report, Cagliari value Barella at more than €40 million.
