Liverpool winger Sadio Mane is confident that his teammate Naby Keita will begin to flourish for the club in the near future.
Speaking to Premier League Productions, as cited in a report from Goal, Mane was quizzed about his relationship with Keita following the pair’s time at RB Salzburg together.
The midfielder arrived at Anfield in the summer after the Reds had agreed to sign him from RB Leipzig in 2017.
The Guinea international caught the eye in the early stages of the season but has struggled with injury problems in recent times, hindering his involvement in the first team.

This has not deterred Mane from his belief that Keita will, in time, come good for Liverpool, however. The Senegal international praised the 23-year-old and said:
He is a great player and also young. He still has a lot to learn and improve. When he came he surprised everyone but not me, because I know him. I’m sure he will do great things for us.
Now he is back with the team and we are happy to have him. I’m looking forward to seeing him helping the team as he can.
Keita has made 10 competitive appearances for Liverpool this season, with half of these coming from the bench, but will hope to make his mark after recovering from a hamstring injury.
