Liverpool are reportedly in the race to sign Ibrahima Konate from RB Leipzig this summer.
According to claims from Euro United via Twitter, the Reds are among a trio of Premier League clubs who have expressed an interest in luring the Frenchman to the top flight of English football.

Konate is just 19-years-old but has featured regularly for Ralf Rangnick’s side throughout the season. He made 28 Bundesliga appearances and evidently caught the eye of potential suitors ahead of the summer transfer window.
Liverpool have a plethora of central defenders at their disposal, particularly following the return of Joe Gomez from injury. However, it seems the promising Leipzig star could be on their radar ahead of next term.
Prising Konate away from the German outfit could prove challenging, however. He is a crucial player for them and his contract with the club runs until June 2023.
Also, the Reds face competition from other Premier League heavyweights. Arsenal and Manchester United are noted by Euro United as interested parties.
Why signing Konate would be a good move for Liverpool
Quality in depth
Konate is an exceptional young defender. He would provide Liverpool with a better backup option than Dejan Lovren or Joel Matip.
Konate is just 19, and his potential knows no bounds. He could become a world-class player with the appropriate management.
Liverpool have a superb manager in Jurgen Klopp. He could be the right man to take Konate’s progress to the next level.
Van Dijk's example
Learning from a player of Virgil van Dijk’s quality and leadership can only be beneficial. For a player like Konate, this would work wonders.
